Where to Find and Upload Global Payroll Documents

Explains how to find, upload, and organize documents in the Global Payroll Documents tab.

Global Payroll Documents is a separate tab from your general company Documents, used specifically for payroll-related paperwork tied to a Global Payroll cycle, such as off-cycle payroll requests, tax information, and other supporting files for a payroll month.

Where to find it

  1. Go to Documents

  2. Select the Global Payroll Documents tab

This tab contains all documents related to your Global Payroll cycles, separate from your Company Documents, Team Contracts, Employees Payslips, and Team Timesheets tabs.

How to upload a document

  1. Go to Documents

  2. Open the Global Payroll Documents tab

  3. Select the relevant payroll month

  4. Click Upload

  5. Upload your document

Supported file types: .zip, .xlsx, .csv, .docx, .pdf, .jpeg, .jpg, .png.

Choosing the correct month

Documents are grouped by payroll month, and the month you select determines which payroll cycle the document is linked to. Uploading to the wrong month may delay processing. If you're unsure which month to choose, check your payroll calendar first.

Adding notes for review and approval

You can add a note in the document description after uploading or reviewing a document. Use this to highlight important information, flag assumptions or changes, or provide context we need for review. These notes are visible during payroll review.

Documents shared by Remote People

The same tab also shows documents we share with you, such as payroll outputs and other supporting payroll files. These are automatically linked to the relevant payroll month.

Best practices

  • Upload documents as early as possible in the payroll cycle

  • Always double-check the selected month before uploading

  • Keep documents clearly named and relevant to the payroll period

If you need to share a document urgently, or think one may have been uploaded to the wrong month, contact us for guidance.
