Approving Expenses for Global Payroll Employees

Explains how expense approval on Global Payroll differs from EOR, including selecting the payroll cycle for reimbursement.

Expense submission and approval on Global Payroll works the same way it does for EOR: same Expenses module, same submission and review flow. There's one addition specific to Global Payroll: as part of approving a request, you'll also need to select the payroll cycle the reimbursement should be paid through.

What stays the same

Employees submit expenses the same way they would on EOR, and approvers review and approve requests from the same Expenses module. If you're already familiar with approving EOR expenses, the process will feel familiar.

What's different

On EOR, an approved expense is automatically routed into the next payroll based on a fixed cutoff. On Global Payroll, there's no automatic routing. As the approver, you select which payroll cycle the reimbursement should be paid through as part of approving the request.

Approving before your Input Due deadline gives the reimbursement the best chance of landing in the cycle you select. See "When Is the Cutoff for Submitting Payroll Changes?".
