Time off management on the Remote People platform now covers all employees — not just those employed through EOR. Global Payroll (GP) employees get the same leave request and approval experience, and Client Admins manage everything from one place.
What’s available for GP employees
A dedicated Time Off page to view leave balances (available, pending, and consumed) and submit leave requests
The same leave request and approval flow EOR employees have always had
Automatic email notifications at every stage: when a request is submitted, approved, rejected, or cancelled
New GP hires are automatically set up with a default leave policy so they can request time off straight away
What’s available for Client Admins and approvers
A unified dashboard to review, approve, or reject leave requests from all staff — EOR and GP alike
Filtering and a calendar view to see who is off across your whole workforce
The ability to set up custom approval policies for GP employees, assigning specific approvers per employee
Automatic email notifications for both employees and approvers at every stage of the request
Setting up approval policies for GP employees
Client Admins can assign custom approval policies to GP employees individually, specifying who approves leave for each person. This works the same way as for EOR employees.
To set up or edit an approval policy, go to Settings → Approval Policies → Leave and Time Tracking Policies. See How to create a custom leave approval policy for step-by-step instructions.
New GP hires
When a new GP employee is onboarded, they are automatically assigned a default leave policy. This means they can submit time off requests immediately after joining, without any manual setup required.
Why this matters
Clients no longer have to manage time off differently depending on how someone is employed. One consistent process now covers the whole workforce — whether employees are on EOR or Global Payroll.
