Offboarding is an important process that helps ensure employment endings are managed smoothly, professionally, and in compliance with local labor laws.
As the legal Employer of Record (EOR), Remote People or our local partner is responsible for formally managing employee terminations and resignations.
To avoid compliance risks, please do not discuss or confirm any termination details with the employee before submitting the offboarding request through the Remote People platform and receiving guidance from our team.
Once your request is submitted, a dedicated Offboarding Specialist will guide you through the process.
Important Guidelines Before Submitting a Request
Before starting the offboarding process, please keep the following in mind:
All resignations and terminations must be submitted through the Remote People platform.
Do not notify the employee or contractor before receiving guidance from Remote People.
In resignation cases, the resignation letter must be addressed to Remote People or the local Employer of Record listed in the employment agreement.
A dedicated Offboarding Specialist will review your request and support you throughout the process.
