What is the Visa Letter and Invitation Letter Policy at Remote People?

Invitation Letters

Remote People does not issue Invitation Letters for employeee. Providing such letters would increase our legal and compliance liability in the destination country, particularly in cases where the employee may not fully adhere to local immigration, labor, or social security regulations. Additionally, visa letters often require the inclusion of sensitive information, such as internal company data or personal details of directors, which Remote People is unable to disclose.

Visa Applications

Remote People is not a visa agency and does not provide assistance with visa applications, except in cases where the employee is supported under a Mobility service arrangement. For standard employment engagements, we are generally unable to assist with the visa application process.

Supporting Letters

In certain situations, Remote People may be able to provide a Supporting Letter from the local employing entity. However, this is only possible if the letter:

  • Does not include confidential or sensitive information such as:

    • A company director's passport number

    • Financial or operational data from Remote People or the employing entity

If such information is required by the visa authorities, we regret that we will not be able to issue the letter.

Business vs. Tourist Visas

Employees must travel under the correct visa type that aligns with the purpose of their trip. It is legally prohibited to undertake business activities while traveling under a tourist or visitor visa. Please ensure that the appropriate business visa is obtained prior to travel.

Alternative Recommendation

If a visa-supporting document is needed, we recommend the following:

  1. The client company (i.e., your organization) issues the Invitation Letter using your own corporate details, as the inviting party.

  2. Remote People can issue a letter confirming the employment relationship between the employee and the local employing entity in the country of origin.

This employment confirmation letter can include the following information:

  • Full name of the employee (as shown in passport)

  • Passport number

  • Date of birth

  • Employment start date

  • Job title

  • Salary

  • Full entity details of the Remote People employer in the country of origin

If you require such a letter, please contact support@joinhorizons.com, and provide the necessary trip and personal details in advance.
