Welcome to Remote People: What is the Employer of Record (EOR) model?

Welcome to Remote People! As a new joiner, you might have questions about how employment is structured.

Remote People partners with global companies to employ talented professionals through a model known as an Employer of Record (EOR).

What Is an Employer of Record?

An Employer of Record (EOR) is a third-party organization that legally employs a worker on behalf of another company.

While daily work, responsibilities, and direction come from the client company (the organization the Employee is assigned to), Remote People is the official legal employer. This means we handle all employment administration, including contracts, payroll, taxes, and compliance with local labor laws.

This model allows companies to hire employees in countries where they do not have a legal entity, ensuring a compliant and efficient employment experience for everyone involved.
