Employees in Saudi Arabia are entitled to paid sick leave when they are unable to work through illness or injury.
Your entitlement
Sick leave is granted for up to 120 calendar days per leave year and is paid by your employer. This is a tracked balance you can see in the platform.
In the platform
Sick Leave is recorded in half-day units, so a partial day of absence can be logged accurately.
Requests can be submitted retrospectively, so an unplanned absence can be logged after the fact.
If you need time off beyond the 120 days, contact your Remote People HR contact — longer absences are handled case by case.
What you need to provide
A medical certificate is required for every sick leave request. Upload it with your request — the certificate is what makes the absence payable.
Questions about a specific absence or a long-term illness — contact your Remote People HR contact.
