Notes:
Latvia grants 14 statutory paid public holidays per year.
If a public holiday falls on a weekend, no compensatory day off is provided, except for May 4, which may be moved to the following Monday.
Mother’s Day (10 May 2026) and Pentecost (24 May 2026) are widely observed but are not statutory public holidays.
New Year’s Eve (31 December) is commonly observed, but not guaranteed as a paid day off unless specified by employer agreements.
