Types of Paid Leave
Maternity Leave
Duration: 3 months (approximately 1.5 months before childbirth and 1.5 months after childbirth).
Extension: An extension of maternity leave is possible upon submission of a medical certificate from a doctor.
Paternity Leave
Duration: 2 days.
Purpose: Allows fathers to take time off to support their spouse and care for the newborn immediately after birth.
Marriage Leave
Duration: 3 days.
Purpose: Provides employees with time off to celebrate and prepare for their own marriage.
Parental Leave
Duration: 2 days per event.
Purpose: Granted for specific family-related events such as a child’s circumcision, baptism, marriage, or in the unfortunate event of a child's death.
Menstrual Leave
Duration: 1st and 2nd days of menstruation.
Condition: Provided if the employee is unable to work due to menstrual pain and submits a request for leave.
Leave for Fulfilling Obligations to the State
Purpose: Employees are entitled to paid leave to fulfill certain state obligations, such as attending jury duty or participating in other mandated civic duties.
Religious Leave
Purpose: Paid leave is available for employees to observe religious obligations, such as participating in religious festivals or ceremonies.
Leave for Education Programs
Purpose: Granted to employees who are required to undergo educational programs as mandated by their employer. This allows employees to improve their skills and qualifications as per the needs of the organization.
Trade Union Leave
Purpose: Employees who are members of a trade union are entitled to paid leave to perform union-related duties, ensuring they can effectively represent and advocate for their peers without losing pay.
