Annual Leave

Employees with more than one year of continuous service are entitled to a minimum of 15 working days of paid annual leave.

Leave is granted in full after completing one year of service.

Accrued leave can be carried over for up to 2 years, subject to mutual agreement between employer and employee.

Sick Leave

Employees must submit a medical certificate within 2 business days from the start of the leave.

Sick Leave Payment:

  • Less than 10 days of leave:

    • The first 3 days are unpaid.

    • Payment begins on the 4th day of leave.

  • 10 days or more of leave:

  • Payment starts from day 1.

Other Types of Paid Leave

  • Maternity Leave is granted for a total of 112 days, split between:

    • Prenatal: 6 weeks before childbirth

    • Postnatal: 12 weeks after childbirth


  • Paternity Leave is granted for 5 days, taken either continuously from the birth (excluding weekends) or spread out within the first month.


  • Wedding/Civil Union Leave is granted for 5 days, used on or around the wedding day. The Employee must notify the employer 30 days in advance and submit the official certificate within 30 days after the event.
