Notes & Context
Eid al‑Fitr and Eid al‑Adha dates are based on lunar (Hijri) observations and can shift by 1–2 days depending on moon-sighting.
The UAE Cabinet may shift holidays falling midweek to nearest working days to create longer weekends under Cabinet Resolution No. 27 of 2024.
Private and public sectors receive the same official holidays.
Expected total public holidays are around 12 days, with extended long weekends for Eid celebrations.
