Work Hours & Overtime Limits:
Full-Time Work Week:
A full-time workweek is 40 hours or 8 hours per day.
The length of a shift cannot exceed 12 hours.
Overtime Limits:
Overtime cannot exceed 8 hours per week for more than 26 consecutive weeks.
The maximum overtime allowed in a year is 150 hours.
Overtime Pay:
Regular Overtime:
Overtime pay is 125% of the regular hourly rate.
Alternatively, employees can be granted additional time off instead of overtime pay.
Work on Holidays:
For work on public holidays, employees are entitled to their regular wages plus time-off.
Weekend Work:
For work on weekends, the overtime pay rate is 110% of the regular wages.
Night Shifts:
Night shifts cannot exceed 8 hours within a 24-hour period.
Night shift work is paid at a rate of 110% of the regular wages.
